- To initially obtain an excellent understanding of the client's organization, its culture and philosophy, the position to be filled, in terms of specifications, requirements, and the 'fit' with the big picture
- Identify potential candidates through the in-house database, or to conduct cold calls by telephone within the same, or related market and industry, whether locally or overseas, depending on the nature of the position
- Alternatively, access existing network to source candidates
- Establish contact with potential candidates, sell the job, and gauge level of interest
- Arrange for interview with candidates either for self or for responsible Partner / Search Director
Relationship with client and candidate
- When appropriate meet with client together with responsible partner at the start of the assignment where possible
- Gain accurate information from client to obtain good understanding of their organization, the culture and philosophy, nature of position, the responsibilities and functions, and how it fits into the team and organization
- Arrange for client interview with candidate
- Maintain good communication with candidate throughout assignment
- Assist and or facilitate negotiation of employment contract, and advise accordingly for both parties
- Follow up on references for the candidate
- Facilitate appointment of successful candidate
