Description of the opportunity

Reporting to the Senior leaders in VAMA/GONVVAMA, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key supporting role in the JVs of the world’s largest steel company. In addition to developing knowledge of the market dynamics of steel and associated raw materials, the role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop key problem-solving, strategic thinking and communication skills.

Main activities and responsibilities

§ Update and deepen the analysis (demand, supply, cost curves) supporting relevant reports/analysis in JVs

§ Coordinate internal/external resources to collect information and conduct the analysis

§ Update profiles of key steel producers

§ Support strategic ad hoc projects / studies as required

Qualification

§ Bachelors degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Natural Science or Management (Finance, Economics)

§ Numerate, strong analytical and problem solving skills

§ Comprehensive computer skills including database searching, power point, spreadsheet analysis and online research

§ Good industry knowledge; experience in application of strategic models helpful
