In this position you will be part of a new employee development program for engineers in the Intelligent Connect Vehicle (ICV), connectivity and engineering release, development and validation. The program includes two years of rotations to develop a comprehensive understanding of the automotive industry. Rotations may include the following engineering areas:
Design and Release Engineer (DRE) for vehicle components
Benchmarking Engineering focused on ICV technologies and trends
Vehicle system validation and integration within the telematics team
Product development and program management (Cybersecurity, Telematics or Vehicle Operations)
Vehicle engineering and supplier development team
After the completion of the program you will placed in a permanent engineering position within the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with joint venture partners and suppliers on technology development, integration and issue resolution.
Lead product development and manage project deliverables.
Responsible for execution of end to end system validation procedures, perform initial issue analysis, accurately document and track defects, and support root cause analysis.
Travel as required
Minimal Qualifications Include
Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA
Recent college graduate with degree conferred between June 2018 to June 2020
Proficiency in computer programming, administration and/or scripting
Knowledge of Vehicle communication protocol, for example CAN/GMLAN/Ethernet
Knowledge of electrical architectures, diagnostic protocols, tools and technologies
Experience with designing system safety
Excellent collaboration and teamwork – ability to work cross functionally
Education and Training
Education: B.S. or M.S. in a relevant technical field including applied mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, mechanical engineering. Electrical engineering, or map/GNSS related major.
Experience within the automotive industry
