POSITION: Data Analyst Intern

Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. (NYSE: JLL), a global real estate services firm, is seeking a Research Analyst to join our team located in Shanghai, China.

What is REIS China?

REIS China offers timely, accurate, and insightful data and analysis on office, retail, and residential markets across China. Data includes major property indicators as well as forecasts and extensive reports on each market sector. Cover 30 cities in China with historical data going as far back as 2005 for most Tier 2 markets. REIS China has extensive network of real estate professionals – 120 researchers across the Asia Pacific region, 40 dedicated researchers in 12 offices in mainland China. REIS service supports most of the major real estate investors, developers and equities analysts in the region.

Objectives:

• Effectively manage and examine three sectors’ datasheets and reports for accuracy and consistency.

• Assist in projects related to data summarization, automation, and mapping using Tableau and ArcGIS.

• Conduct fieldwork, including vacancy and tenant inspections of existing projects as well as assessment of future project completion dates by cultivating local contacts and conducting interviews.

• Perform analysis and data visualization by utilizing REIS China’s comprehensive database.

Experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and strong academic performance preferred

• Demonstrated passion in real estate with a strong commitment to learning micro- and macro-level market dynamics

• Excellent Excel skills

• Familiarity with Tableau and ArcGIS Software

• Strong quantitative skillset with ability to identify new insights and trends through data analytics

• Collaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic team

• Organized and proactive approach

• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time and workload
