main responsibilities：

-      China Non-trade Contract Management System:

to provide project go-live support, including but not limited to gathering and organizing historical contract related info; timely providing data and information as requested by core team; proactively follow-up the status of projects.

Through this project, you could have in-depth understanding of the interco transaction for a typical automotive industry and learn the basic concept on transfer pricing which is an important skill nowadays for tax professionals. You could also gain international exposure as you will be able to work with people with different background (IT/finance and accounting) from different countries.

-      China Indirect tax risk management project:

-      Support senior tax manager to complete the tax health-check/survey for  all 31 entities in Valeo China

-      Perform legal research under the support of Regional Tax Manager

-      Gather information from Site Finance/Regional Tax/SSC where needed

-      Support Regional Tax Team to develop the tools for China VAT (and other local tax) filing

Through this 6-months based tax project, you could understand how indirect tax works in a world leading MNE who operates its finance in China through both SSC finance and operational team.  You may have a chance to travel to different cities across China/meeting with advisors and tax operation team in SSC, in order to walk through and validate the relevant indirect taxes working flows/steps. It would be a great opportunity for you to utilize the knowledge/skills learnt from school to the real life. It could also help you to build the tax knowledge from industry pov if you would like to apply for jobs in big 4 in the coming recruiting season.
