I.Background Information Position Title: Intern- Advanced Materials Research Function/Department: General Motors R&D, China Science Lab Location: Shanghai, China II.Purpose The intern of materials research will be mainly responsible for conducting literature survey and project execution to support researchers.
III.Areas of Responsibility • Work with researchers and conduct technical experiments with minimum supervision; • Conduct literature survey on automobile Lightweighting technology under the guidance of researchers; • Write timely, high-quality experiment reports.
IV.Knowledge Experience, and Competencies Knowledge: ·Demonstrated knowledge in materials science, including metallurgy, mechanical property test, optical and scanning electron microscopy; Skills: ·High-quality metallography sample preparation; ·Efficient literature survey capability; ·Hands-on operation experience with SEM is preferred; ·Hands-on operation experience with tensile tester is preferred. Experience/Education: ·Bachelor degree or above in materials engineering or related field; ·Experience with Mg or Al alloy relevant research would be preferred;
Competencies: ·Excellent oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English; ·Ability to work for more than 3 months in China Science Lab.
