ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
• Provide day-to-day support for physical Windows/Intel based Desktops, Laptops and Application S/W.
• Install and commission new Windows/Intel based Desktop solutions in accordance with operating procedures.
• General administrative support: file, organize, mail outgoing orders, maintain inventory, order and stock general office/ IT supplies
• Ensure all IT areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition, in compliance with H&S recommendations.
• Install and configure new hardware and software as required, ensuring accurate reporting of software usage, ensure licenses are obtained through correct channels prior to performing installation and accurate maintenance of asset records after installation.
• Ensure compliance with all IT polices and standards.
• Provide users with ongoing assistance in their information technology problems
• Coordinate vendors for acquisition of equipment and software
• Assist in hardware and software inventory management
Education:
Bachelor of Technology/ 3 years Diploma in CSE, IT, ETC
Experience:
-Good technical experience working as Desktop Support Engineer, Supporting Enterprise Users Windows operating systems and software.
Reasonable understanding of the general IT industry and best working practices.
Typically reports to a team leader or supervisor
Essential and Critical Skills:
Good to have the technical support diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and oral communications skills using the telephone, E-mail or in person. Strong customer service skills. The ability to work well as part of a team. They will have the ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and deliver tasks on schedule without constant supervision.
