Responsibilities
China new car buyers study data analysis
· Perform data analysis on new car buyer syndicate survey, and translate research data into consumer insights and potential future industry trends, with focus on electrifications and unmet needs for future vehicles (shopping experience, demographic & social dynamic, user needs, etc.)
· Assist consumer data analysis for research activities and related portfolio, volume forecasting activities (sample planning, buying behavior, covering both global and local OEMs)
2. Clinic Execution Support
· Conduct analysis on competitors (Content, equip level, features and pricing)
· On-site assist for clinic execution, qualitative research and workshops (clinic set-up /focus group discussions/ study summary)
Scope:
Perform customer data analysis based on available secondary research resources, and industry reports.
Generate insights / findings for potential future consumer trend and implications for GM, focus on electrifications, segment flow dynamic.
Sample planning and benchmark analysis
Present results to GM China Planning / Market Research as well as other relevant functions
Experience/Education: Bachelors or Masters Student in a top university, Background in Statistics, Psychology or Sociology is preferred.
Skills / Competencies: Critical thinking/Strategic Agility, Data-driven, Good analytical and presentation skills (Excel spreadsheet, Powerpoint) Interest in Automotive industry, strong willingness to learn and self-motivation.
