Role:

The Brand marketing team is a core function that helps connect a brand to the consumer. Understanding core insights of today’s youth culture, we develop solutions to serve today’s consumers, ensuring we bring sport and culture to them in a meaningful and powerful way.

 You will be expected to become a specialist in understanding Shanghai’s youth culture. You will also be expected to bring unidentified, raw and authentic insights of our target consumer.

 The job will require not only time in the office, contributing to brainstorming sessions, meetings, and work streams, but to go out to the marketplace to observe and collect information to better identify challenges and solutions.

 Effective communication is a must in order to connect with the broader marketing team, inclusive of the Nike Greater China geography team, and agencies within Shanghai. The role might require attendance to weeknight/ weekend sportswear activities.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to ideation sessions by bringing unique insights and ideas.
• Support project management (scheduling, asset/product management, coordination with Geo and city functional partners as well as agencies).
• Support creation of internal documentations, inclusive of weekly reporting, recaps and monitor the competitive landscape.
• Field work to observe and collect market/consumer information.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Passion for street culture/pop culture/lifestyle/fashion & sport.
• Proactive and have a strong sense of curiosity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Well versed at keynote/ppt/excel; is detail oriented, well organized and a team player.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
